What I've been up to since leaving Roosy: Left Rosy (Roosy?) following graduation in the summer of 1968.   Our family was transferred to All-Benny, Jaw Ja (that's Albany, Georgia for non-southerners) where I began my freshman year at Dougherty High, which had an overwhelming number of students (compared to practically being "tutored" at Rosy) of 1200.  For the first time since 3rd grade, I attended a school where my mom was NOT secretary but my sister was soon employed as Librarian - so I STILL couldn't get away with anything!

Graduated, finally, in the Class of '71.  By August of that year, decided to see what all the yahoo was about out west in the great state of Arizona.  As beautiful as it was, after six months I was back east & enrolled in business courses at Albany Jr. College (of which, my mom was Secretary to the Dean!) Attended one semester & thought I knew all there was to know & began my career as a 'secretary' in the working world.

 In Sept. of '72, I'd married my daughter's father & moved to Dallas, Texas. On Dec. 7th 1973 the love of my life was born, Layla Renee' Bryan.

By Sept. of '82, my 9 year old & I packed everything we owned, that would fit in the backseat & trunk of a '78 Camero, & made our trek back to Georgia.   Lived with the folks in the jobless town of Warwick for 3 months.

 By Jan. of '83, my "treasured" sister, Valerie, unselfishly opened her arms & home to live with her & her family in Conyers (suburb of Atlanta).  Within a couple of months, I found gainful employment & got out from under foot. I'd like it publicly noted that I was, & will be, forever grateful to ALL the sacrifices my sister made for us during that time!

 I met my husband, Harry, in '89 - dated a couple or three years, lived together another 5 & married in Feb. '97.   There is a reason for the saying, "third time's a charm" & I finally met Mr. Right.  He has two beautiful daughters, Jill & Dawn, who are now both recently married to wonderful guys, Rick & Alan

. We now live in a 4 year old, gorgeous home in Monroe, Georgia (25 miles or so east of Athens or same distance west of Snellville) on an acre lot, of which we are very proud!

 Layla is very successful (& making more money than I'd ever hoped to make) & has a very talented, funny & personable boyfriend, Glen, who live with their menagerie of love birds, (14 to date), two cats, & Siberian Husky in midtown Atlanta.

I've been so very fortunate, my folks are still kickin', my sister's happier than she's been in years (thanks to a wonderful southern gentleman, Roy), our kids are doing well & are healthy - we couldn't ask for more!
