Terry Hewitt

Terry Hewitt and family

I left RRHS after the 1st semester and graduated from Forrest H.S. in
Jacksonville, Fl 06-05-65. Enlisted in the Air Force 11-23-65. Finished a 48
week 6 hour a day electronics course 10-18-66. I was stationed at Eglin AFB
in Ft. Walton Beach Fl. I qualified expert marksman all 4 years. Honorable
discharge 02-20-69.

I'm a Pensacola native. My grandparents introduced me to Joyce on
Thanksgiving '66, engaged 12-66, married 3-17-67. Joyce taught me to drive
when I was twenty. We had to wait for dad, Robert (Bob) Burger to get back
from El Centro with the Blue Angels. His funeral and flag folding was
conducted by the Angels C/O 6-13-01. This past St. Patrick's day was our 34th
anniversary. Joyce is the office manager at GCOP and our 26 year old daughter
Melanie is office manager at the Cantonment First Physicians clinic.

I completed a 18 month Westinghouse/Pensacola Junior College course and
worked as a machinist at Westinghouse for 27 yrs. 8 months. I retired, with a
pension, 02-28-97. I ended my retirement 6-14-00 and work in a Wal-Mart
garden center. I plan to retire in a few more years. We had a home built on 7
acres in Cantonment, Fl (10 miles north of Pensacola) after I retired. Big
Rock creek runs through the middle of our property. I play in the woods most
of the time keeping up nature trails and native plants. I did volunteer work
two days a week at the Roy Hyatt Enviromental Center. It's run by the school
district.

I started surfing in '74 but hadn't been in the past 7 years. I went surfing
in October on Friday the 13th, 2000, full moon and my 54th birthday. I
stopped building street rods and custom cars after I retired. I learned
welding, paint and bodywork and mechanics by reading books and practice. I
still have all of the equipment but use it to restore antique (mule pulled)
farm implements. Wilderness campers are welcome to rough it in my woods.
Contact me for any or no reason. I'm online every day.

May God Bless All,
