When we left Roosy in 1980, I went to college for a year in Boston, then transferred to Avila College in Kansas City. After graduating in 1985 with a degree in Finance, I worked as an airport planner for Coffman Associates in Kansas City. In 1986 I moved to Memphis to work for Federal Express in Aircraft Acquisitions. I was part of a team responsible for purchase and delivery of B727 aircraft from various airlines. This involved extensive travel, including trips to Australia and Portugal. In 1989 I was promoted to a position in the Flight Operations department managing the Flight Test pilots. That's where I met my husband Billy. He is an A300 Captain and has been a pilot with FedEx for 27 years. We married in 1991 and I left FedEx in 1992 to start our family. We have two kids, Katie age seven and Matthew age five. Billy also has two sons, Will and Sam, ages 18 and 15. They both live in Memphis and spend a lot of time with us. I thoroughly enjoy my current position as "domestic engineer" and don't foresee any career changes in the near future!
