Left RRHS in 1981 after completing junior year. Because public school system in Puerto Rico required I stay a year and a half to complete high school, I took the GED in 1981.  I was accepted to the University of Hartford, CT but due to personal problems I returned to Puerto Rico during the first semester of my freshman year.  Joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Eustis, VA in 1982.  Returned to Puerto Rico and graduated in 1988 from the University of Puerto Rico with a BA in English with a minor in Education and an Army ROTC commission.  I married that same year. Camelia Nicole was born following year.  Returned to active duty assigned to the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, KS as a Combat Engineer.  I was deployed five months for Operation Desert Shield/ Storm on December 21, 1990. Ricardo Izaak was born 1991.  Because of budget cuts I suffered the reduction of forces and was out of the active service in 1992.  I found work with Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson Company.  That same year in November I lost my mother to cancer and my life took a turn. I separated from my wife shortly after and in 1995 our divorce was final.  The kids live in West Palm Beach, FL since. That same year I also suffered a motorcycle accident that fractured both my wrist and my right collarbone.  It took almost two years to recover enough to where I could exercise again.  I continued my military service in the Army Reserves conducting Army construction projects in Germany and Central America.  In 1998 I was offered the job as Police Commissioner of the city of Humacao, PR, which I briefly held since after being accepted once again on active duty.  As of September 1999, I serve as the Environmental Staff Officer for the 90th Regional Support Command out of North Little Rock, AR.
