Cool web page!! It’s really neat to see names and faces and sad to see who has left us in this life. Well, if anyone remembers, my brother is Alain Kennedy and we were at Roosey between ‘79-’80. We moved to Va and Md afterwards and we graduated high school in 85 and 86. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC with the 82d Airborne as a Combat Medical Specialist for over 3 years, just missing the invasion of Panama (I was upset at the time, not now). After my enlistment I continued my efforts to be a real-life action figure and went to commercial deep sea diving school in Seattle during ‘91 and obtained certifications to dive commercially using mixed gas, etc…I married my then girlfriend Lisa in ’93 and continued to work as a Commercial Diver for the next 10-12 years, during my off seasons I would attend college, where I majored in Spanish and International business. After graduating college, I stumbled into the commercial collections industry where I found I had a knack for recovering money just about anywhere in the world. I am now the chief operating officer (COO) of my own agency and am trying to retire by age 50 ( I hope).
Alain and I are both married, he lives in Luquillo PR with his lovely wife Grisselle and his 2 children Diego 8, and Gianna 10. I currently reside just north of New Orleans with my wife Lisa (we’ve been married for 14 years now, where does the time go?) and my two boys , Aleksander 13 , and Dillon 10. I recently found out about a daughter I never knew existed from a love interest that I had while in the army, her name is Kabryn , 18 and we are catching up on the daughter/father thing and she is a wonderful addition to my family and life. It is extremely weird to be the father of 2 boys and then discover that I have a daughter. Life is sweet and I consider myself blessed to have the family and friends and opportunities that I enjoy.
I think about Roosey all the time , and even occasionally dream about it , what a cool place to go to high school at during the late ‘70’S…I found this site while googling for some pictures of the base (feeling nostalgic, I guess). I hope to hear from some of you soon and will try to post pictures soon…..
