What
I've been up to since leaving Roosy:
Five weeks after graduating from RRHS I checked-in to the U.S. Naval
Academy, were I managed to graduate with an Aerospace Engineering Deg in May 86
and was commissioned an Ensign in the Navy. From there to flight school in
Pensacola, Fl and Sacramento, Ca where I got my wings as a Naval Flight Officer
in Dec 87. I was transferred to Jacksonville, Fl in Jan 88 where I would
remain for nearly 7 years divided between two squadrons tours. I then
transferred to Dallas, TX Jan 95 as I senior Lieutenant. After 2-years and
a promotion to Lieutenant Commander I was transferred back to Jacksonville in
Jan 97 for yet another squadron tour. Upon completion of that tour I was
transferred to my current duty station in Key West, Fl as a Naval Aviation
liaison officer to the Joint Interagency Task Force East (JIATFE) Key West,
Florida. We are the agency that directs the counterdrug effort in the
Caribbean, Central/South America and the Eastern Pacific. I got here last
Nov and will be here for a total of 2-3 years. I was recently selected for
advancement to the rank of Commander (0-5).
Last year in May I met Diana (now Mrs. Dampier) while deployed to the
Caribbean. We had our first date in mid-June and we got married in Oct.
We currently reside in Key West.
