After graduationg from Roosey, I moved to Santa Rosa, CA and attended SRJC. I began working on the race track in 1983 & became a jockey in 1986. I had a serious spill on a horse at the track in 1987, which left me in a coma for 10 days. Thanks to God, I fully recovered. I went back to school in 88 and on to work in an office as a Computer Accounting Bookkeeper. I met Hector Ramirez in 1984 and we were married in 1990, and moved to Phoenix,AZ. I became a licensed Thoroughbred Trainer in 92 and raced horses in Arizona in the winters and Northern California in the summers. We moved to Arcadia, CA in July of 97 and currently race horses on the Southern California Circuit. In January of 2000, we had a beautiful baby boy, Colton James Ramirez. I have been able to travel back to Puerto Rico several times since high school. One trip to Puerto Rico put us right in the path of Hurricane Hugo! What a vacation that was!
